This is driving Craig mad, so I'll just post it.
And it read:
I. Lean in.
Know the worm for what it does
and not by what the hook might say.
Understand the agitators,
those who practice alchemy
on soils and souls
beneath the surface,
making pockets for our roots’
migration through a boulevard
of dreams and to the stars.
II. Be disturbed.
Blister with an indignation.
Be the sulfur on a match.
Understand the role of Outrage
beating sheets against her teeth
in thick despair,
committing music
to our ears until the psalm
of little shrieks subsides because
an orchestra prevails.
III. Think
again.
Pay attention to the rage that
squeezes up in times of pain.
Understand that fissures driven
in the rock are there to ease
the caustic climb
from molten core through
cooling chambers of the heart;
an absolution by degrees
from which to summit [naked].
IV. Look no
further.
Reconsider limitations
chafing at the wrists of you.
Understand the alchemy
of music struck like sulfur tips
against a dream;
commit like magma
coursing down a boulevard
in sheets of promise
teething on the stars.
I mean to say, Martha, my Martha:
Bend your eyes from a catastrophe of the heart
to the sand that makes the pearl.
