The invitation was received and accepted and I've caught up on all of your posts.
It seems easier for me to say this here rather than in the meeting - a friend of mine died on Thursday. It was expected and longed for by her, but still I'm sad. I feel an odd combination of muted and jagged. For the past two months, in her final diminishment, I got to help take care of Mary. I still wake up wondering who has which shift. It's good to be here, focused, in a different physical place with new people to get to know.
Now, I'm off to read Anna Kamienska before lunch.
hey Sandra, i just finished reading Kamienska Notebook I and then I saw your post. the last line of K's Notebook I resonates with me, how I felt after a recent death in the family. i'm so sorry for your loss. --r
